Design Adhesive Clear Cards

26 Oct

I’m back!  And with some awesome cards to show you too.  Last Kaszazz training we toddled off to Oxley, just outside of Wangaratta for a change of scenery.  Juene was our lovely host and she made some divine treats for us along the lines of jelly slice (my fave), hedgehog and trifle, gosh we were spoilt.  We had a play with the new design adhesives as some of the gals hadn’t used them yet so we chose a new workshop by Naomi Elliott (2H409 Daisy Design Adhesive Cards).  I love these cards, they are actually quite simple to whip up but look amazing.  I am becoming a big fan of these design adhesives, so far I have bought five different ones, I just can’t stop!

Aren’t they cute?  These would make a lovely little card to give to a friend on her birthday, actually since there is no specific sentiment so you could use them for any occasion.  Sometimes it’s nice to send a card “just because”.  That Naomi is quite the innovator, her work gives me so much inspiration, she is always coming up with new ideas and alternative ways to use products.  Thanks Naomi!

cheerio for now folks, I hope to be posting a bit more this week :)

Blog Wars – Acetate/Plastic {day 5}

10 Jul

The last project for this week.  I hope you enjoyed my creations and you got some ideas and inspiration to play with acrylic sheets.

It’s a bit hard to see the detail but I’ve used Pearl paint dabber on the base card and butterflies.  I love Pearl paint dabber, it is simply gorgeous.  This was a real quick card, I placed the organdy ribbon over the stamped message to soften it a bit, it actually looks more subtle in person.  Everything used is Kaszazz.

Wow what an exciting week it’s been.  Don’t forget to see what the others have been up to and come on back for next weeks challenge!

Blog Wars – Acetate/Plastic {day 4}

9 Jul

It’s so great to be organised this week.  I’ll let you in on a little secret…all this weeks projects were made in one sitting!  I find it so much easier to be creative and come up with new ideas while I am already making something so I decided instead of trying to make one per day I would do them all at once and just post each day (thank YOU scheduling!!!)  I am really happy with my creativity and the way the ideas just flowed from one project to the next.

Can I just say that I think this is my favorite project from this week?  It’s a mini layout!  A 6 x 6″ scrapbook page.  I really enjoyed doing this little beauty, it was so much easier that a 12×12 ha ha.  Because your space is limited you don’t have to worry about trying to “fill it out” and you can keep embellishing simple.  now using the acrylic sheet as part of the base page was not my own brilliant idea – I was inspired by my favorite Kaszazz creator Naomi Elliot.  Naomi made a gorgeous 12×12 layout which you can see right here.

All my stamping was done with pitch black paint dabber as it works really well with acrylic sheets.  The snowflakes were cut out using circle punches then I cut a few in half to put along the edge of the page.  I really like the one that is hanging off the top, it’s seems to bring the page to life.  By the way that’s my mum blowing out the candle on her birthday cake.  I thought it was so cute that I captured her making her wish!

All supplies Kaszazz.

More tomorrow

Blog Wars – Acetate/Plastic {day 2}

7 Jul

Welcome to day 2!  I’m doing well so far right?

This is an all acrylic base card with stamping using paint dabbers (demin) and rubber stamps on the front.  The white cardstock you can see is actually on the inside top of the card to hide the super tape and I attached the red cardstock on the inside back to make it easier to write a message.  This is a very quick but effective card made that little bit special by the acrylic card base.  All products Kaszazz.

See you tomorrow!

Blog Wars – Acetate/Plastic {day 1}

6 Jul

This week we are playing with clear acrylic or acetate sheets as some people call it!  Thank you to Jo for being our host this month. Kaszazz sell the plastic sheets in packs they are on page 50 of the current catalogue.  Anyway stay tuned each day to see all the different ways you can use it.  Also check out what the other girls are up, the links are under blog wars over to the right.

The photo makes your eyes play tricks:: the happy birthday and flowers are on the front clear plastic and the stamped white card is on the inside!  I have painted around the edge of the plastic with picket fence (white) distress crackle paint to give it a bit of a shabby chic look; some of the paint has chipped off but it just adds to the effect!  I’m not sure if I like the rounded edges on this though, what do you think?

All products used available through Kaszazz.  By the way if you are a Kaszazz consultant and would like to join the blog wars group please get in touch as we would love more participants – krismarr@iprimus.com.au

I have another card for tomorrow so come on back y’all!
