Kissing Cards – stamp technique

10 Oct

Well I did say I would show you these kissing cards…and here they FINALLY are!  I’m actually sheduling this post as I have a big weekend ahead; my cousin and Aunt are coming to Shep this weekend and we are catching up for lunch on Saturday, then in the afternoon James, myself and our friends are going to the Annual Shepparton Show – I love it, the food, the rides, the animals, the atmosphere, then Sunday we are catching up with some of my old uni friends for lunch.  Oh and I’m going to a Body Shop party Friday night.  Phew I don’t think I’ve ever packed so much in one weekend!  One thing I am going to insist upon is taking lots of photos.  So tell me about your plans for the weekend?  Relaxing…busy…working?(I hope not!)

This is another of Naomi Elliot’s workshops for Kaszazz, did I tell you how clever she is?  Well she is!  Naomi is a great inspiration to me and hundreds of other consultants too I am sure.  Can I just say I absolutely lurve these cards, the colours, the technique, the stamps – it’s all just perfect.  And you would be surprised how easy they are to make.  Seriously!  If you’re interested in learning this technique drop me a line krismarr(at)iprimus(dot)com(dot)au and don’t forget if you are on your own please let me know and I can arrange a class at my place.

P.S. I’m working on my own workshop featuring the new Design Adhesives so stay tuned!

Blog Wars – Bella {day5}

17 Jul

Hi all

Happy Weekend!  Wooooo Hooooo.  Well I am just squeezing in my last Bella project before the end of the week.  This was so easy it’s embarrassing hee hee.

BWbelladay5

So all I did was use one of the journal pieces from the cut out sheets and cut out the middle with my cutterbee knife, then I attached it to a black base card and embossed the Happy Birthday in white, ta-da done.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the Bella range this week, do you like the polka dots as much as I do?  Right now I’m battling another Bella – my dog!  I’m in my studio and she is scratching the door (with Charlie) to come in.  Thing is she had a little accident (the cold + her age = leakage) so I don’t want them in here till the covers are all back in place.  So I must go and spend some time with my puppies before I head out for a night of scrappin’.  Love the weekend!

Hope yours is FAB

luv Kris

Yes it’s another 6×6 creation!  This is James’ little niece hamming it up for the camera; the title is what James jokingly nick-named her one day.  I think it’s cute!

This page has a lot going on, some might call it “busy” but I think it still works.  The images were cut with a square punch from the other side of the pink dots paper.  They needed a little something so I used my black permaball to frame them up.  The ‘little’ is our alpha stickers (with distress crackle paint around the edges) and the chipboard has all sorts of stuff going on.  I wasn’t getting the right affect I was after so I just kept painting over the top!

What do you think?

Blog War – Bella {day 2}

14 Jul

Hello again dear friends.

Today I have for you two sweet lil’ cards featuring the pink dots paper from the Bella range, cute huh?  Sometimes you don’t have to spend a lot of time on a card and simple does the trick just nicely.

The butterfly image is our two step butterfly stamp; I stamped the solid image with Pink Sherbert paint dabber then embossed the outline stamp with black embossing powder then cut it out.

Stay tuned for tomorrows project and don’t forget to check out what the other lovely ladies are making!

a crafty good weekend {just passed}

27 May

 Hello again, I had to wait for a bit of sun for some photo taking…

I had a fab weekend over at my friend Deanne’s house with Sharynne…can you guess what we were doing?  Yup scrappin’!  We made some workshops together as well as working on our own stuff.  I got lots done and was even more excitied on Sunday when I was able to complete a few ufo’s (unfinished objects) with photos.  It’s all too common for me to make a workshop up and not have “the right photos” which then means it gets dumped in the ufo pile.

Two of the workshops I changed the papers and they came out just as perfect (if not better ha ha) than the originals.

 The first pic is the Castaway Window Layout Workshop which I used the new World Traveller papers for.  Told you they were fantastic papers.  I cheated a little with the window book and made it easier – don’t tell anyone!

Next up is the Mayhem Windmill Page and Card workshop done in the Bella range.  We didn’t make the card but if you were using the Pebbles Album you could adapt the card into a couple of pocket pieces to go with your extra photos – cool huh?  And that’s my lovely friend Gab there and yes she is wearing a spoon!

I also made the samples for the Treasured Memories Card workshop that I am holding at home on June 19.  Aren’t they gorgeous, all frosty and glittered?

Tomorrow I’ll post some more completed projects including the new workshops we did at National Training.

Tim Holtz Ink Blending Tool

29 Mar

I am over the moon.  While at conference Kaszazz had a mini release of new products and one of those new products was this…

and the reason I am excited?  Well lets just say I have been lusting after this tool for a very long time!  I was sorely tempted to buy it elsewhere but thankgoodness for the lovely Kaszazz purchasing/product development team for deciding we should sell it.  Yay.  And you know what’s even better – I won about 6 of these at conference.  Double yay!

Having never used this tool before but knowing it’s capabilities from looking at Tim’s tutorials I was rapt when we actually used it in a new workshop at conference.  Check out the clouds below – they are made with the blending tool and distress ink.  Don’t they look fabulous?

NB: I’m yet to add photo’s and please excuse my orange couch!  I’m planning on having a play with the tool this weekend and seeing what else I can do with it.

Kaszazz also released a new range of papers called Bella featuring one of my all time favorite designs – polkadots!  I love dots they are so versatile and never go out of fashion.  There’s also new stamps with a slightly french chic flavour as well as some cute Easter ones too.

And a totally new and cool concept is The A to Z of Scrapbooking.  A clever consultant by the name of Sonia Gibson has come up with this wonderful idea which is perfect for new and old scrapbookers alike.  This concept allows you to make an entire scrapbook album from A to Z; you can buy the page packs individually (great for those of us on a budget) or all of them at once then just add the alphabet kit and the embellishment kit and scrap away!

The new March Products flier is available to view online if you click here or you can buy your own copy for $1.00.  For my customers who attend a workshop or place an order you will receive the flier for FREE.

If you have any questions about the new products or indeed anything leave a comment below or email me on krismarr(at)primusonline(dot)com(au).

Happy scrappin’

Kris
