Open House ~ Fun times had by all!

7 Feb

I apologize for this post being so late – it’s like I just can’t keep real life and blog life matching time-wise.

Therese C. from Numurkah won the Mega Prize of over $200 worth of scrapbooking goodies.   She was rather chuffed and excited when I let her know.

The Open House and Free Make and Take was a blast, I think it’s safe to say everyone had a great time learning about the new products, sipping champas, muching on cupcakes and winning lots of prizes.  Thanks ladies for sharing the fun!  Unfortunately I was too busy enjoying myself to remember to take photos – next time I will delegate that job to someone.  I do have some to share of the projects though…the first two are my designs..what do you think?

This is one of my favorites.  I’ve used Smooch Sugarberry on the flower which happens to co-ordinate perfectly with our purple fabric flowers and funky card base.  The black and white polka dot paper is the B-side of one of our new Romance papers.

Can you guess who loves polka dots?  I just can’t help myself when it comes to this pattern!  I’ve used gold embossing on this card and highlighted with red Siren Smooch.  The dots are also a B-side, from our Merry Christmas range.  I love how most of the B-sides in Kaszazz’s paper ranges are non themed because you get so much more use out of them.

This was the project that everyone got to make – in various colours as it uses card from the funky pack.  We actually made these at NTTD and everyone was so impressed by how fantastic they look for so little effort.  Well ditto at my open house and this particular Design Adhesive – Daisy Daze was an absolute hit!  (and BTW I have the matching rollergraph wheel too hee hee).  I am also loving the new Top Boss glitters that we have, I think they are the most sparkly glitters I have ever seen or used.

Now these tags were just some playing around I did to show some of the ladies how to use rub ons, distress ink, the ink blending tool and distress embossing powder.  The tag on the right I had made before the day and it was the inspiration for the gift tags featured below.  I think I still need to do a lot more experimenting with the distress ep as I’m just not sure if I’ve got it right yet.

Now these little beauties I made to attach to the free gift that everyone received on the day.  Can I tell you how much I love them?  A WHOLE LOT!  When I started making them it was one of those “don’t know if this will work but here goes” moments.  I made them all together doing each step like an assembly line, I just kept thinking, if it doesn’t look right I’ll just keep blending and stamping until it does.  Now we all know that sometimes that can end in disaster but luckily I didn’t need to go down that track as these just came together like a charm.  I decided to use curling ribbon instead of fabric ribbon as I wanted to tie it right around the gifts like little parcels.  I think the purple gives it a bit of oomph.  And did you notice that gorgeous chandelier stamp – I have been hanging out for one for a very long time, I almost bought a non Kaszazz one but I’m still sticking to my guns about not buying more stuff until I use what I’ve got.

That about wraps it up peeps.  So what do you think of my creations?  Are you into ripping and distressing and inking all over your projects or do you prefer the clean, streamlined look?  Leave me a comment as I’d love to know if you’re embracing this current “distressing” trend or not.

Don’t forget that I will be hosting an Open House & Free Make and Take after each new product release from Kaszazz so be sure to check back here for the next dates in May and September.

I’ve got photos to share of our Kaszazz national team training day (NTTD) and I am determined to post them in the next few days so be sure to come on back!

Til next time

New Kaszazz Products} stamping and scrapping!

20 Jul

Yippee more stuff to play with!  Kaszazz have just released some brand new products including new SB Christmas papers with co-ordinated A5 card, 12×12 cardstock and stamps; recipe themed stamps; new inks, glitters and rollergraphs as well as an intriuging new product called Smooch!  It’s a pearlized accent paint that can be layered on your projects – stay tuned as I find out more info!  I can’t seem to get the link to work with the picture below so click here to go to the Kaszazz catalogue page then click on the products flier.

I have already ordered myself quite a few items however if you’d like to place an order I’ll be putting another one in in about a week so send me an email.  Another great way to see some of the new products being used is at a FREE Make and Take demo, feel free to contact me for more info.

In all the excitement of the new release I forgot to photograph my Blog Wars project for today!  I have done it but you’ll have to wait til later tonight to see it hee hee.  This week the challenge is Teddy Bears Picnic, so basically anything with teddies.  I actually only have one teddy bear stamp but after using some that I borrowed from Sharynne I think they’ll now go on my wish list.  I had so much fun making cards with them.

So go make a cuppa and have a browse at the new flyer and see how many new ideas pop into your head – there’s a ton of inspiration in there.

Christmas in July

15 Jul

Are you celebrating Christmas in July this year?  Kaszazz is, with a mini release on the 17th!  Woohoo how exciting…I can tell you now that there will be gorgeous new Christmas papers and stamps plus a little somethin’ somethin’ in the recipes department, intrigued?  I myself am dying of suspense!  Here’s a sneaky peak…

 NewProductsFlier_2009Jul_Preview

I know it’s hard to bring yourself to think about Christmas when it seems so far away but really how many of us leave those xmas cards and projects to the last minute?  Guilty (raises hand).  This year I’ll be darned if it’s going to happen again and if you feel the same way why not book a FREE Make and Take to see some new ideas for christmas cards and start gathering your supplies and earn FREE goodies to boot?  You could even make it a christmas theme party with egg nog and Santa hats {no egg nog for me though or we could end up with some pretty interesting cards!}  So dust off those decorations and give me a call to help you organise your little soiree.

Still got last years christmas photos sitting in box getting dusty?  Why not book a workshop to get them onto a layout with the new paper range?  As a workshop host you still get access to all the host FREEbies too.  You could even start your christmas shopping early – we have lots of lovely kits available. So what are you waiting for?  It’s a good excuse for a party at any rate yipee!

Drop me a line at krismarr(at)iprimus(dot)com(dot)au to book your party today.  As a bonus I’ll give the first 3 people to book an extra FREEbie gift, just be sure to mention this blog post, easy peasy right?  Oh and if you just want to place an order you can just do that too, just email it through.

cheers

Kris

HUGE Kaszazz news coming soon

29 May

Hiya

Yup Kaszazz have outdone themselves yet again…and you thought things were exciting enough with the brand new catalogue right?  Well just steel yourself for more excitement ok?  I know I’m teasing but I seriously don’t have time to post right now [what with links and pictures and I'm meant to be working and all] so please pop back tonight to check it all out.

I’ll also have firday fives post up tonight as well.  It’s a big day today in krismakes blogland!

see you later

Kris

almost there….

18 May

The BIG Kaszazz news is nearly here…I’m just waiting for the updates on the Kaszazz website so I can post the links for you.  Sorry to keep you in suspense but it won’t be much longer I promise!

I will also be posting my blog wars project later today [probably tonight] as I had planned to get a head start on them yesterday but after doing several overdue {frogs} jobs I needed to spend some quality time with my dear James.  We watched Hancock and ate hot chips for lunch, yummy.  Here’s a trailer if you haven’t seen it yet.  I heart Will Smith.

How exciting my first post with video.  I can’t believe how much technical stuff I have learned since starting my blog last year.

Ok so I’ll be checking the Kaszazz website intermittently throughout the day and will post as soon as I have some links for you.

PS:: Bella is A-ok, thanks so much for your concern.  She must have just been feeling a little off but now she’s back to her usual bin tipping, pantry scrounging, cat kissin’ self!

Rub ons – Kaszazz style!

5 Mar

Kaszazz has just released their very own exclusive range of rub ons…

newproducts-rubons1

I am really diggin those alphabet rub ons, the mind is reeling, and what about that cute tin case they come in – hello beyond the page oppurtunity!

And the bling rub ons – I really need to see these in person.  Like.  Right.  Now!  Will have to pop an order in this week to get my mitts on ‘em.

newproducts-rubons2

Oooh but wait there’s more.  Some lovely borders, flourishes and boy/girl theme rub ons too.  They will go perfectly with our guy/gal themed scrapbooking paper ranges.

So with the release of new products I envision a slew of new workshops pooping up real soon.  I’ll keep you posted.
