New Kaszazz Catalogue!

19 May

You weren’t expecting that one were you?  You can check out the new catalogue right here.  Be sure to take a peek at the card on page 173; it’s made by yours truly!  Woo hoo I’m in the catalogue!

There’s loads of lovely new goodies including two new paper ranges; Life’s a Beach and World Traveller, new co-ordinating rub ons and stamps as well as a gorgeous new alphabet stamp set called Carnival.  My Wish List is filling fast let me tell you!

You may notice in the new catalogue some price changes; a few things have gone up a little and some have come down, also a few products have been deleted due to lack of supply and manufacturer discontinuation.

Now don’t panic  folks you can still order from the old catalogue for a very limited time so make a coffee/pour a glass of wine, get out your old catalogue and grab your mouse.  Spend a little time checking if things on your wish are missing from the new catalogue and move them to high priority!

At this stage I will be placing one more order from the old catalogue and the bonus is that you can also order new items at the same time.  If you would like to order something from the old catalogue please email or call me before this Thursday [21st May] night.

National Training was a blast, especially as I has Katherine (my S-I-L & downline) with me.  We made two new workshops, Life’s a Beach Envelope Cards and Life’s a Beach Layout using the new papers and stamps.  The L.A.B. papers are bright and funky with wicked lined reverse sides.  I can see great potential for these.  I’ll update this with photo’s once I get organised.

I was spoilt with stamps; Sharynne and Deanne gave me my belated birthday presents – two new release stamps and we also got the new Hibiscus stamp as our thank you gift!  And yesterday I came home to find a lovely package full of all the new papers from Kaszazz, my reward for being an active consultant in the last four months.  All I had to do was achieve sales of $350 in each of those months, easy peasy. I love all the little extras that you get from being a consultant.  If you’d like the same opportunities give me a call and I’ll send you a no obligation Info Pack.  There is never any pressure with Kaszazz and that is one of the reasons I joined.

Ok if you are keen to organise a workshop get together with your friends hop on over here to see the latest 2H workshops and 5PQ’s.  I’ll also be running some new workshops from home so I’ll keep you posted.

Phew that’s a lot of info, I’ll leave you now to digest all of that.  If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Kaszazz Conference 09 } Hollywood Glamour

23 Mar
peter-karen-me

Me with Peter and Karen Stock - the awesome directors!

Wow I was blown away by conference – almost literally as the Melbourne weather was pretty pitiful!  I am so glad that I made the effort to go – if there’s any Kaszazz consultants out there wondering whether it’s really worth it, I can answer with a resounding YES.  Here’s a quick run down (I don’t want to bore the non Kaszazzers)…

  • first of all we headed to Stitches and Craft on Friday which was so so so good, I wish I’d had more time and I will definitely go next year.  Lots of amazing aussie crafters and I got to see the indie craft movie “Handmade Nation” (link is to book – sorry can’t find one for the movie) which was awesome.  I could have gone totally berserk and bought everything I liked but I reigned myself in – I do have all their websites tucked safely away for future purchasing though.

  • that night we invited two creative genius consultants Naomi Elliot and Cheryl Devlin to join our group for dinner.  You may recognise their names from many many Kaszazz workshop creations.  They were both simply lovely people and we all hit it off really well.

  • Saturday was full on!  After the intro from Karen Stock we got stuck into making the Bella Friendship Album a new workshop (by Cheryl) using the brand new products from our mini release.  It’s totally gorgeous as you will see in my photos later.

  • There was an inspiring business session from Peter Stock then it was time to head back to the apartment to get glammed up for the Hollywood themed dinner.  Our little group (Sharynne, Lyn, Nadia and I) relaxed a bit too much and we got in a last minute flap as we ran out of time.

Our Posse!

  • We got a somewhat drenched going from the taxi to the CQ building (about five paces) and I realised I left my sparkly cardi at the apartment but we got there and were wowed by some of the costumes.

  • There must have been about 15 Marilyn Monroe’s swanning about and Dorothy was there too with Toto!  The venue looked fabulous and there were life size cardboard cut outs of many of the old movie stars which made for heaps of great photo ops.  It was such a fun night.

  • On Sunday I found it hard to keep my eyes propped open while we made Naomi’s (beautiful) Whimsical Love workshop so lucky for me I won all the tools which meant I could easily finish it at home (Yay).

  • In the afternoon we were treated to an inspirational session presented by Anne Howie a party plan guru.  After listening to Anne I went out and grabbed a copy of her book Let’s Get the Party Started.  I’ve already read through it once and now I’m going through each chapter and doing the exercises.  I love it – if there’s any consultants reading this post (not just Kaszazz – any party plan) I can highly recommend getting your hands on a copy of this book.  It will help you on so many levels.

  • At the end of such a mind expanding weekend I have come away feeling very excited and positive about my business and I’m making a commitment right here and now to become a “business builder”.  This is not just a hobby for me – it’s my life!  I’ve finally found my dream job and I’m going to make it happen!!

So that was my Kaszazz Conference 09 in a nutshell.  Just awesome.  If anyone (consultant or otherwise) wants to know more please drop me a line in the comments.

Stitches and Craft Show + Kaszazz Conference

11 Mar

Well folks I’m off to the big smoke on Friday.  Yes I am heading down to Melbourne with Sharynne and the gals for our yearly Kaszazz conference.  This will be my first and lucky for me this year it’s in Melbourne so not so far to travel!  It’s all very exciting, I packed my stuff tonight (so as I don’t forget anything) and I’m doing a last minute shop after work tomorrow for some jewelry to go with my dress for the presentation dinner thingy.  Nothing too flash just something to jazz it up a little, probably from Diva or Equip.  If I’d been more organised I’m sure I could have made something but..what can I say?   I (mum actually) did re-fashion the dress – it used to be a skirt in a former life.  I’ll post photo’s after but I was thinking of something like very long beads/chains/pearls.  They seem to be all the rage at the moment and since the dresses neckline is straight accross I think something long would go best.  Hmmm I really should have taken a photo for you.  Nevermind.

I am looking forward to meeting lots of other Kaszazz peeps and seeing BRAND NEW PRODUCTS at conference!!! Yippeee.  Also we get to make two brand new workshops so so awesome.  Don’t worry I’ll try to take lots of pictures so I can update you when I get back.  We’re staying at Quest Southbank which looks rather nice and is close to everything.

And not to detract from the conference but guess where I am going on Friday?  The Stitches and Craft Show!  It will also be a first for me and I’m terribly excited as now I am getting into sewing and fabrics there will be lots more appeal for me – not just the papercrafts.  I have been checking out some bloggers that will be at the show like Two Cheese Please and Vintage Ric Rac and I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll be able to meet some of them in person.  I won’t have a great deal of time so I’ll have to run around like a mad chook (angry chicken?) to get to everything I want to see.  Gosh I’m excited.  Sorry but I can’t stop using that word.  You know, the craft blogging community just continues to amaze me with their wealth of knowledge and friendliness.  Everyday I am finding more and more aussie craft bloggers and for me it’s just so darn (yep you guessed it) exciting.

Ok so obviously while I am away the blog shall be quiet but that doesn’t mean you can stop craftin’!  I know there are more of you that need to enter the challenge competitions so hop to it as March is umm well marching on?  Terrible Kris must be time for bed!

‘night all

new workshops

2 Feb

Golly gee where did the week go to?  I had a lovely extra long weekend off thanks to Australia Day and my nice boss, Saturday through Wednesday!  It was great, Mum came over for a visit.  We did some shopping but generally just puttered around as it’s been soooo hot.  It’s been over 40 degrees celcius for the last couple of days and predicted to continue through the weekend.  Yikes!  I did snaffle some delicious mushroom print fabric from Spotlight at only $5 per metre, should I have bought more?

Kaszazz have just added a plethora of new workshops and guess what?  Yes my two workshop submissions made it in!  Hooray for me.  The workshops are 2H176 First Christmas Trifold and 2H184 Family Brag Book Mini Album.  I am just waiting for Kaszazz to upload the new workshops to their on line flyer then I will post a link.  How very exciting – I should have some Kaszazz vouchers coming my way very soon, bonus.

This week I have sent in 3 Make and Take submissions and I just realised right this minute that I forgot to take photo’s of them, darn it.  I have two of them made for myself already so I can photograph those but the third I will just have to make another sample and hope it turns out as perfect as the one I sent in!

This Saturday I am doing my Team Training with a bunch of other consultants who weren’t able to make the official day.  We will be making some of the new workshops that were releases with the new products.  I will pop some pictures up here very soon.

Stay tuned

Kris

update: another weekend gone too!  Training was fantastic, met some new consultants and did some business training, and made two of the new workshops using the brand new stamps and papers – just gorgeous!

Watch this space for my NEW product highlight section!  Over the next few months I will post about a feature product with info, tips and examples of how to use it to help you choose the right product with confidence.  There is a lot of scrapbooking and card making supplies out there and I’d like to help you find your way so you can buy quality products that suit your needs.  It’s so easy to spend a small fortune on scrapping supplies that you may never use – hey I’ve been there myself.  Unfortunately I didn’t have a guide when I first started paper crafting so I’ve learnt the hard way!  Now I’m with Kaszazz I have this fantastic opportunity to help others with their crafting and this is what motivates me the most.  I’ll never tell you that you HAVE to buy a certain product but I WILL try to inform you as best I can so YOU can make the right choice for yourself.  This is my promise to you.

until next time

that’s me and my pop in 1994 at my going away party before I left for Brisbane.  He passed away a few months later.  I still miss him a lot.  Deep breath.

Ok and here’s the Concertina Mini Memories workshop…

It’s so teeny and cute, very cute.  You can slip photo’s in the first and third window.  I’m lovin’ that Agean Blue Ancient Page ink, looks gorgeous paired with the Enchanted papers.

Of course if you are interested in making any of these yourself just drop me a line and I can arrange a workshop in the comfort of your own home for you and your friends.  All products featured in these workshops are available through me.  The Enchanted papers are $1.75 each and are exclusive to Kaszazz.  There’s 6 double sided papers in the range plus a matching Journal Aid Cut Out sheet for $3.95ea.  The papers work well with all themes from family to valentines to snow days!

I thought I’d let you have a sneak peak at my latest workshop submission; it’s just waiting to be tested before I send it in.

I know I’m biased but I think it’s pretty great.  I showed Sharynne and she loved it too so hopefully it will make the cut.  I’ll keep you updated.

Speaking of updates I did mention before that around the 19th Jan there will be an exciting New Product Release of Kaszazz goodies and if you’re local to Shep keep a lookout for an upcoming event where you can get your hands on all the new goodies and have a play with them too.  There might also be some new product giveaways too!  Drop back here to check for details.  You are going to fall head over heels for the new product.  I’m so excited.

Soon we will be off to Kaszazz Conference 2009 which is being held in Melbourne this March – hooray.  I am booked in and have my accomodation sorted; I’m so looking forward to it.  Sharynne says I will come back full of ideas and totally revved up.  I’m a little nervous to meet all the “old hands”, I really am a shy person at heart.  Though some would argue otherwise.

Big news peeps; I have joined facebook.  Yes yes I know I am like THE last person in the universe to join but … what can I say?  Already I have chatted to people I went to uni with way back in 93 whom I haven’t seen since then.  It will be interesting to see who else I catch up with.  It’s a bit trippy at just how many people I know are on there.  Anyway you can say hi to me over there if you so desire!

I’m scratching my head to see if there’s anything else I need to update you on but I see it already 10.09pm and my brain turned off about half an hour ago!

adios amigos

Christmas and Halloween

21 Oct

No gardening yesterday.  I am dissapointed.  James had a massive night on Saturday working basically all through the night so yesterday all he was up for was snoozing and kicking back which I totally understand.  So maybe this coming weekend we will do it.  I did potter around in the scrap studio and I watched Nim’s Island which is a good PG movie.  I’m a fan of Jodie Foster.  Saturday was my Perfect Pearls Christmas Cards workshop in Katandra West with a lovely group of ladies.

They have booked in a date for January to start the Timecapsule Calendar workshops so I’m excited to be doing that as I wasn’t going to offer the workshop from home but this way I still get to teach it.  Better get mine finished now!

With the fabulous new Kaszazz catalogue out now there have been some worksops deleted because they use products that we no longer carry but never fear we have a whole bunch of gorgeous new workshop released with the new catalogue with more on the way.  Check them all out here: 2 Hour Workshops and 5 Projects Quick Workshops.  I have made an executive decision (I love that expression) to take a step back from trying to run so many workshops per month from my home as I’m really struggling time wise with my other job (4 days a week), James businesses paperwork and my kaszazz stuff.  Things are suffering and it’s just not good.  I want to be available to do more Demo’s and Workshops in people’s homes.  I will still run them from my house but just not the 4 a month that I was trying to do previously.  I’ll also keep having the Midnite Scraps as they are just too much fun to not run.  I’ve got to run the Waterfall Flip Album Workshop in November and am tossing up between two dates either Sat 15th in the morning or Sat the 22nd morning or afternoon.  I have two customers who are really interested in doing it so I might check the dates with them first.  As for December I’m not sure wether to try to run a w/shop from home as everyone is getting busy with Christmas, I’ll have a ponder about that one.  I’m hoping to start designing my own workshops very soon as the rewards from Kaszazz if my projects are chosen are very generous and it would save me heaps of my own pennies spent on product.  Stay tuned.

I will be working (Kaszazz) all through the Christmas/New Year holiday period so if anyone wants a FREE Make and Take Demo or a Workshop just give me a holler.  Orders can be placed with me any time via phone, email or in person.  I will confirm a final date for Christmas orders as we get closer – I don’t want anyone to miss out on their goodies for xmas!

Christmas tree.jpg

Sorry if all this Christmas talk has sent you into a spin but there is only 9 & 1/2 weeks til Christmas (ha ha haaa I’m evil I know).  Don’t start stressing yet as I’ll be posting and emailing more about the Christmas stuff as the weeks fly by.

Before we get to Christmas I am doing a little of Halloween festivities this year.  I have bought some decorations and was hoping to make some of my own too plus some creepy spooky food for my special Halloween Midnite Scrap on the 31st.  At this stage I have plenty of spots free and it’s only $5 per person to cover food.  Don a costume and bring your projects to work on, I’ll have tools available for use on the night as well as free help with ideas etc.  It starts at 7pm and you will need to book your place ahead of time as seat are limited.  I’m really looking forward to getting in the spirit (bad pun) of Halloween this year!

spook ya later

crackle paint

29 Sep

New Products

oh my goodness, Crackle Paint has arrived at Kaszazz, so very exciting and I can’t wait to get my hands on it even though I have no idea how to use it.  Don’t worry that will soon change and I’ll find some links for you guys too.  We also have another 20 new colours added to out Adirondack Paint Dabber range – looking forward to seeing them too.

Ok I just picked up my goodies from the post office from my $300 Kaszazz voucher so I’m off to open it and have a play.  It’s like Christmas every time an order comes in, I love it.

See ya

Kris
